A "monumental" figural group in white metal by Uriano, probably from the 20's, French. The marble is 35 1/2 inches wide, nearly eight inches deep, over 2 1/4 thick! The height of the lady is 16 1/4 (including the marble).

The patina shows significant compromise -- the lady's silvered "skin" has numerous discolorations, and the darker areas (particularly on the more distant doe) show signs of wear and compromise as well. To correct these problems the lacquer would have to be removed and the silver polished and touched up, then re-lacquered.

The marble is beautifully inlaid with onyx, and is in near-mint condition, with only a tiny chip or two on the corners.
