Here's one of the finest lighting fixtures I've had in all these years (and we won't go into that)... a gold-laquered bronze transitional chandelier (between Art Nouveau and Art Deco) by Schneider (all the glass is signed). It hangs at a substantial length -- 39 inches -- and chain can be added between the two large rings near the top if additional length is needed.

The glass is much more beautiful than in this mere photograph, the dominant color being a subtle violet with bits of sky blue. Inspired by an early morning winter sunrise in Paris? It's 28 inches across.

Note the organic nature of the arms' design, and the elegant leafy pattern around the perimeter!

This simply is "as good as it gets!"
