(A) A favorite amongst certain decorators and other purveyors of good taste... these simple but sophistocated American sconces are a constant seller. But, do you think I'm making them in the basement? Uh-uh. Better grab these while they're still around! They've been polished and rewired, of course. They're a "standard" height of around 9 inches and about 5 wide, and they can take a 100-watt bulb. $635 the pair. (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)

(B) A fine pair of Markel sconces, with freshly brass-plated backs. They're 11 tall, 5 1/2 wide. $795 the pair. (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)

(C) I wish I had a dozen of these for my Egyptian Revival castle! $275. (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)

(D) Four available, one shade having a slight hairline crack. $375 for all four! (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)

(E) A single candle sconce... beautiful original patina.

Sorry, Andrew and Jeff are enjoying this one! SOLD!

(F) Exquisite Modernist wall sconces, with a (just lately) chromed, mirror-like back plate; those are thin glass rods which surround the bulb! They're about 11 inches in diameter. $1075 the pair. (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)

(G) The fountain motif, wildly popular in the 20's, with a classic mint-colored finish over porcelain. $235. (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)

(K) Solid bronze candle sconces, with highest-quality molding and fine detail. Ten inches tall, about 5 1/2 wide. $575 the pair. (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)

(L) Two "quaint" sconces with their original painted patina (a very deep chocolate, almost black, with antique gold accents), almost perfectly intact. They are the better part of 12 inches tall, and come out from the wall 7 inches. They're about 5 1/2 wide. $775 the pair. I had two pair, but I sold one, and the shades on those remaining are much nicer than these. (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)

(N) American Moderne styling, with hints of Classical design... Walter Von Nessen design? They're in excellent condition, mostly aluminum, and provide a very dramatic look when lit. Dimensions: 10 wide, 9 1/2 high, 5 deep. $875 the pair. (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)

(O) Larger scale than is usually the case, these sleek Moderne sconces embody the spirit of the times. The height is 13 inches, the width of the shades about 6.

These beauties got away from you, didn't they? SOLD!!!!

(P) Pair of chromed 1940's fluorescent wall sconces with switches & plugs, shown with one bulb in position and lit. These measure 46 cm by 6 cm. That's about 18 inches long by 2 1/2 wide. $325 per pair (I have about 7 pair). (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)
