Hey, would you believe this?
The console pictured above is in fact
sold (thank you, Melanie), but here I am sitting at this stupid
computer in France, of all places, just TODAY (11 April 04) having
found an IDENTICAL console, except with slightly thicker marble,
in the same color palette.
Fresh off the boat...and it's been
years since I've had a console as handsome and compelling
as this one. The ginko leaf design was a favorite of Edgar Brandt's
(not that I'm trying to elevate this by association, nah...),
especially on mirrors and chandeliers. And speaking of mirrors,
I suspect that I have one which would be close to perfect
with this console...

Note the high quality of the iron
work, not to mention the gorgeous color and complexity of the
marble. Overall dimensions: 33 wide, just under 13 deep, and
the height, which is subject to where you place it on your wall,
is 32 1/2. In the first picture above, I have it positioned about
6 inches off the ground, and the top is about 38 inches off the
ground.
