Standing proud at 24 3/4 inches, this unsigned table lamp shows various Handel-like features, including a white metal base, a lustrous deep brown patina, a ball cluster, a two-part heat cap.

There are various "age nicks" on the white metal base, and the brown patina has some subtle greens worked in.

The shade measures 16 inches across, 7 7/8 high. It's made of patinated brass, with slag glass inserts behind the metal. Both the glass and the metal are in perfect condition.

One socket is not properly attached to the ball cluster. The heat cap is two-part, sandwiching the shade when it's in place.

This table lamp, a tribute to the design ingenuity and artistic excellence of its American makers about a hundred years ago, has a dramatic presence. (e-mail Jack to start the conversation)
