Offering a magnificent vintage
espresso machine made (presumably, as it's marked) in Lyon, France.
This baby has it all! Glittering, gleaming chrome, bakelite (or
somesuch vintage plastic) which has the appearance of amber,
four coffee stations, and that positively insane international
orange colored plexi/lucite/plastic tiara, or crown!

Judging from its appearance (appearance
having to do with the Dodge-like bulbous chrome bumper look)
and materials (the amber handles and the plexi crown), this showstopper
of a machine must be a 40's or 50's creation.

The pressure dial indicates Lyon,
France, but the words "vapore" and "accua"
are NOT French, but Italian. Was this machine made in Italy for
the French market? WHO KNOWS?

OH, you're wondering if it works?
In three words, I don't know. Judging by the near-pristine condition
of this machine, I would venture that it has been treated well,
or might I say "treasured?"

There's one small dent on the front,
which you can see in this photo about a third of the way in from
the right, about midway up. Otherwise, it's in super condition,
just a little staining here and there to the chrome. It measures
42 1/2 inches long, add four inches to include the chrome "shoulders"
on the sides. To the top of the plexi CELEMEX sign, it's 24 inches
high (17 to the top of the chrome body). And, it's about 15 inches
deep, foot to foot (add another 4 inches for the bulbous back
and the team release buttons in front, for a total of 19). Yes,
it's ungodly heavy.
